The academic structure groups students and learning activity using school boards, terms, classes, and subjects. Names and available fields can vary by the institution’s education model.
Before you begin
- Confirm the campus and school calendar before entering term dates.
Check that classes and subjects are available in the intended campus and term.
-
Set up the board
Open Manage Boards and add the board or curriculum used by the school. Confirm its name and any board-specific attributes before assigning it to students.
-
Create the academic term
Open Manage Academic Terms, select the campus, and add the term dates and status. Use the institution’s approved term boundaries.
-
Create classes
Open Manage Classes and add the class or grade level for the correct campus and term structure. Avoid near-duplicate class names.
-
Create subjects and assign teachers
Add the subjects used for each class and assign the responsible teacher where the page supports it. Review the class-subject combinations before publishing schedules.
Use the same term consistently when enrolling students, assigning classes, creating schedules, and recording academic work.
Keep academic records consistent
Use one agreed naming convention for boards, terms, classes, and subjects. Consistency improves student selection, reports, timetable generation, and result entry.
If the school runs different calendars at different campuses, select the correct campus while creating terms and classes.
Changes after enrollment
Changing academic setup after students, fees, schedules, or results have been created can affect those workflows. Review existing usage before changing or removing a structure record.
