Siblings Policy lets an Institution Admin configure discounts for eligible child orders at each campus and choose which fee types may receive the discount. It is separate from sibling linkage: the school should verify the family relationship and group membership before relying on child order.
Before you begin
- Confirm sibling records, child order, fee types, and campus before applying the discount policy.
Check a representative family’s new fee preview and ledger breakdown.
-
Select the campus
Open System Settings > Siblings Policy and choose the campus whose fee policy you are editing.
-
Set child-order percentages
Enter the approved discounts for eligible second-through-fifth children. Confirm whether each child-order discount is zero or an approved percentage.
-
Choose eligible fee types
Select only the fee categories covered by the school policy. Review the selection before saving.
-
Save and validate a new fee preview
Save the policy, then review the next fee preview or generation batch for an eligible family. Confirm base amount, discount, tax, and final charge.
Review a new batch preview to validate the policy before finalizing student charges.
Effect on student accounts
The configured discount is applied to newly generated eligible charges and recorded with the charge as a discount snapshot. Changing policy does not rewrite fees already generated.
If a family’s child order or linkage is incorrect, resolve the student and sibling records before generating another fee batch.
Approvals and communication
Use the school’s approved fee policy and inform families using the official fee schedule. A configured percentage should not be inferred from another campus.
