Create the facilities used for class schedules, examinations, and classroom displays.

Portal path Administration Manage Buildings / Manage Classrooms

Buildings and classrooms define the physical spaces used by academic schedules and examinations. Assign them to the correct campus and use clear names or codes that staff can recognize.

Before you begin

  • Confirm the campus, room code, and capacity before adding rooms to active schedules.

Test the classroom in a draft schedule and verify the code for any display screen.

  1. Create a building

Open Manage Buildings, select the campus, and enter the building name and any required location details. Save and confirm it appears in the campus list.

  2. Add classrooms

Open Manage Classrooms, choose the building, and enter the room name, code, capacity, and other required details.

  3. Review room suitability

Check that capacity and any room attributes suit the class or exam that will be scheduled there. Correct duplicate or ambiguous room labels.

  4. Use the room in a schedule

Select the new room in the class schedule or exam venue workflow. Verify the saved schedule displays the intended building and classroom.

Use stable room identifiers

A consistent room name and code make conflict review and classroom display setup easier.

Classroom display code

Where Classroom Display is enabled, use the classroom code shown in Manage Classrooms to select the room on its display page. Keep that code associated with the correct physical screen.

If a room cannot be selected, confirm it belongs to the active campus and is available for the selected schedule period.

Changing a room

Review future schedules and exams before renaming or deactivating a classroom. Historical records should continue to identify the space used at the time.
