Student leave is a request that follows the school’s configured approval policy. A request does not become approved leave until the assigned authority records a decision.
Before you begin
- Check the campus, leave type, dates, and approving authority before submitting or deciding.
Verify the final request status and, where applicable, the attendance record.
-
Submit a leave request
A student opens My Leaves, selects the leave type and date or time range, explains the request, and attaches required evidence if requested.
-
Review pending requests
The assigned approver opens Leave Approvals or My Tasks, checks the student and dates, reads the reason and evidence, and records an approval or rejection with remarks.
-
Notify the student
The student checks the request status and any decision comments in the leave page or notification. If the dates or status look wrong, contact the school office.
-
Confirm attendance treatment
Where approved leave affects attendance, check the relevant attendance period after the decision. The approved period and configured leave type determine the effect.
Students should follow the existing attendance rules until the request status shows approved.
Policy configuration
Authorized staff configure leave types, required documents, date limits, and the approving authority in the leave policy workflow. Review the campus scope before editing.
A policy change should not silently rewrite the decision history of an already-submitted request.
Private documents
Leave attachments may include private student information. Upload only requested evidence and make it available only to authorized reviewers.
