Fee setup defines the categories and amounts used by student fee generation. Review institution policy and the applicable class, board, and term before creating or changing a charge.
Before you begin
- Have the approved fee schedule, currency, applicable class and board, and effective term ready.
Check the saved fee structure and compare a sample student’s expected charge.
-
Create fee types
Open Fee Types and add the categories the school needs, such as tuition or other approved charges. Use clear names so students and finance staff can identify them.
-
Open the fee structure
Choose the relevant class, board, campus, and academic term where available.
-
Enter amounts and frequency
Add the approved charge values and due or recurrence settings supported by the page. Confirm currency and effective period.
-
Review before generation
Compare the configured structure against the school’s approved schedule of fees. Save and verify it appears under the intended academic group.
Fee batches can post charges to many student accounts.
Changes and existing accounts
Changing a fee structure does not necessarily rewrite student charges already generated. Review the fee batch and account ledger before changing a charge that has been used.
Use adjustments, waivers, or refunds for approved corrections to existing student accounts rather than generating a duplicate fee.
Sibling discounts
Where the school has configured a Siblings Policy, eligible newly generated fees can apply campus-specific child-order discounts to selected fee types. Review the family linkage, child order, campus policy, and eligible charge categories before generating the fee batch.
A policy change affects new fee generation according to its settings; it does not rewrite charges already posted to student accounts.
Permission and approval
Only finance or administration users with the required permission should configure charges. Follow the school’s fee approval and communication policy.
