Set up the institution and campuses

OCR for Schools is the school management product in OneClickRooms (OCR) for Education. The other product is OCR for Higher Education.

Create and maintain campus records and assign the people who administer them.

Portal path Administration Manage Campuses

Institution and campus records establish the scope used by classes, students, staff access, schedules, and reports. Set up the campus structure before importing or creating operational records.

Before you begin

  • Institution Admin access is required to create campuses and manage institution-level settings.

Verify the campus list and staff scope before onboarding students.

  1. Review institution information

Confirm the institution name and its configured contact, time zone, date display, and portal branding before creating operational records.

  2. Open Manage Campuses

Use the Administration menu and select Manage Campuses. Confirm that your account has Institution Admin or the campus-management permission.

  3. Add a campus

Enter the campus name and required location and contact information. Save and confirm that the new campus appears in the campus list.

  4. Assign campus staff

Create or select the staff accounts that need access and assign them the appropriate campus role. Keep institution-wide administration separate from day-to-day campus responsibilities.

Set the structure before enrollment

Students, schedules, and financial records depend on valid campus and academic setup.

Before adding student data

  • Set up the campus first.
  • Create the academic terms, boards, classes, and subjects used by the campus.
  • Confirm who can manage students, finances, examinations, schedules, and approvals.

Access and record scope

A campus assignment restricts a staff user’s campus-scoped pages and actions. Users working across campuses need explicit access to each relevant campus.

Do not create duplicate campus entries to represent academic terms, boards, or departments. Use the dedicated setup pages for those records.
