Results and promotions are high-impact academic records. Follow the institution’s published grading and progression policy and verify the eligible student list before applying a batch decision.
Before you begin
- Complete examination marking and verify the academic policy and target class before submitting a promotion batch.
Confirm the batch outcome and sample the updated student class records.
-
Complete assessment review
Confirm marks have been entered, required approvals are complete, and the correct grading scheme applies to the class and term.
-
Review eligible students
Open Manage Promotions and choose the source and destination academic context. Review each student’s status, results, and proposed destination.
-
Resolve exceptions
Check students with missing assessments, holds, withdrawals, or other exceptions. Use the school’s approved decision process before continuing.
-
Submit and verify
Submit the promotion batch for the required authorization. After approval, verify the student’s new class or term and review the batch history.
Promotion affects future enrollment, class lists, schedules, and reporting.
Student results
Students use My Results to view results the school has released. A result not yet published may not be visible even if staff have entered marks.
If an entry appears wrong, report the exam, subject, term, and student record to the school office.
Correction and rollback
A promotion or published result should not be repeated simply to fix a display issue. Follow the authorized correction or rollback workflow available for the batch and keep its audit history.
Recommended next step
Continue with the student fee guide if promotion changes affect billing.
