Attendance is recorded against scheduled classes and students. Where the school enables attendance views, students and authorized staff can review the data associated with their class and subject.
Before you begin
- Use the correct student and subject context; report errors with the class date and subject.
Confirm the class session and leave status before requesting an attendance correction.
-
Review attendance in the school portal
Open the student or class activity view available to your role and select the correct student, subject, class, and term.
-
Check the attendance summary
Review attended sessions, total sessions, excused absences, and any subject attendance threshold shown. A total can change when an approved leave request excuses an absence.
-
Resolve a discrepancy
Give the school office the class date and subject. Staff should review the scheduled session and attendance entry and follow the authorized correction process.
-
Set up a classroom display
An authorized Campus Admin opens Classroom Display, copies the classroom code from Manage Classrooms, and enters it on the display page. Leave the screen on the assigned classroom.
Approved leave may change whether a missed class is counted in the student’s attendance summary.
Approved leave and attendance
A leave request can affect attendance only when it is approved, applies to the class date, and overlaps the applicable class period or full-day window. Pending or rejected leave does not excuse an absence.
If a leave is approved after attendance is recorded, review the relevant attendance summary after the school’s leave integration updates it.
Classroom display access
Classroom Display is intended for a screen outside the selected room. Keep the display assigned to the correct classroom and do not use a public screen to expose student-specific information.
