The accommodation warden workspace focuses on day-to-day resident and room operations. Warden access is limited to the accommodation duties assigned by the institution.
Before you begin
- Check the resident and current allocation before updating occupancy or room condition.
Confirm the room and resident status after completing each operation.
-
Find a resident
Open Residents and Check-in and search for the student. Confirm the current building, room, bed, allocation, and contract status.
-
Review occupancy
Use Occupancy Explorer to inspect available and occupied rooms. Confirm the selected campus and accommodation building.
-
Process upcoming checkouts
Open Upcoming Checkouts, review the student and expected date, then record the inspection or completion action available to your role.
-
Review transfers and inspections
Open Room Transfer Requests and Room Inspections. Check the request history, room condition, evidence, and required approvals before completing the task.
Room availability depends on accurate check-in, checkout, and transfer records.
Resident privacy
Open only the resident details needed for the assigned task. Keep identity, contract, and accommodation details within the authorized staff workflow.
If the room or resident information does not match, pause the operation and ask an accommodation administrator to correct the allocation.
Finance matters
Accommodation charges, refunds, meal plans, and settlements are handled through the relevant accommodation finance pages. A warden should not record a finance adjustment unless the assigned role permits it.
Recommended next step
Use Accommodation Management for application, policy, and approval workflows.
